Whole Body Angiography

Thickening of heart artery is called atherosclerosis. May be associated with thickening of neck vessels resulting in stroke, leg arteries causing claudication and even gangrene, In kidney arteries, resulting in hypertension and kidney failure and heart artery blockages resulting in angina chest pain & heart attacks. This specially happens in high risk patients who are diabetic, hypertension, high cholesterols, smokers, bad life style and strong family history of heart disease. We prefer to do check angio/ DSA for the heart, neck vessels, kidney arteries and peripheral leg arteries. At the same time as when we do coronary angiography specially in the high risk patients, who may suffer silent disease in the other arteries of the body. Once detected it can be safely treated before permanent damage.
